DR. MYRIAM ENSLING
CLINICAL MEDICINE ACCESS PROGRAM
Dr. Ensling is an Internal Medicine specialist with more than thirty years of practice in the field. She has also received training in Weight Management Obesity. Dr. Ensling was trained at Cordoba Medical School in Argentina and obtained a MD degree in 1986. She has been a professor of Hospital medicine at MU. She has a vast experience as a Hospitalis caring for patients admitted to the hospital as well as Outpatient care and Urgent care.
She doesn't accept health insurances and she has developed low cost programs for uninsured patients. She has also developed a simple approach to a diet to lose weight where the patient chooses his or her own meals with nutrition advise from Dr. Ensling.
As a primary care physician, Dr. Ensling does preventive medicine, physicals, pap smears, EKG, UA, treats diseases such as Diabetes, hypertension, acute diseases such as allergies, UTI, and much more!

WHO DO WE TREAT:
Our program is intended to treat uninsured patients in the Kansas City Area
We treat patients age 2 and above.
We treat English and Spanish speaking patients, for other languages must bring translator

WHAT DO WE TREAT
-
Acute Care: treatment of acute diseases. These are conditions that start in a few hours or days, are not severe and need treatment within a few days such as upper respiratory infections, Flu, ear aches, fevers, skin rashes, allergies, wounds, etc.

Primary Care: screening for chronic diseases such as Pap Smears/PSA (prostate), hypothyroidism, diabetes, high cholesterol, etc.

​Internal Medicine: treatment of chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, hypothyroidism, and acute diseases such as sore throat, UTI, skin rash, etc.

​Obesity Care: including diet, support meetings, appetite suppressant prescriptions and weekly visits. She also has NutriMed and Advanced Health Systems supplements if you need them.

WHO WE DO NOT TREAT:

We do not accept Health Insurances.​
We do not prescribe Pain Medications (opiates) nor other controlled substances
We do not treat mental conditions

We do Not Treat Emergencies.

The following list includes some examples of Emergencies we DO NOT TREAT.
If a patient has any of the following symptoms they must be taken to the ER ASAP:
​
1) patients who have lost consciousness
2) patients who have suffered a severe trauma
3) patients who after being basically healthy, become unable to walk or unable to care for themselves and need other people's assistance.
4) patients with chest pain who might be having a heart attack according to age range and baseline conditions
5) patients who are unable to breathe.
6) Patient unable to drink fluids due to continuous vomiting or baseline disease.
7) Patients who might need emergent Surgery.
8) Patients who become severely sick while they are pregnant (we can treat minor problems on these patients such as UTI or upper respiratory infections).
9) Pregnant patients who are in labor
